In blurb form:
-Slowly outfitting the place. Managed to score some great stuff from my friend Laura Vogels, an incredible actor I know from my senior year of high school. You can find out more about her here. We met for the first time in six years yesterday, what a lovely individual! We'll be catching up over our mutual love of great BBQ on the 9th at Dinosaur BBQ in Harlem. She's moving and couldn't bring all her stuff with her, managed to snag this handmade Dutch corner hutch and a heavy duty AC unit for 65 bucks. Not too shabby.
-Headed to the Game of Thrones exhibit in Midtown tomorrow with a friend from the opera program at UBC. Geeking out already.
- Shooting for "Pretense" got pushed back to sometime this weekend, so looking forward to that.
-Finally bit the bullet and got a showfax account. Makes Actors Access actually a viable audition option, which is nice.
-Rhapsody location stuff getting sorted out. Preliminary performance date is May 12th at Alchemical Theater lab, although that's super subject to change.
-Reading the Esper book required for the interview on the 10th. Great stuff.
- Finally getting some furniture delivered on the 23rd. If I didn't know any better, I'd almost say this place is starting to look like someones home.
In a little over three weeks, I'll be turning 24. I can't remember the last birthday I had that wasn't on the the west coast. So excited. My gift to myself?
1979 Gibson Les Paul custom shop. My roommate from college, Mitch, owns it. It's without a doubt the nicest guitar I've ever played, and he's looking to trick out a new guitar of his and needs some cash. I don't have a guitar out here. Match made in heaven. He'll be coming down here from Montreal shortly after my birthday. He's cutting me an incredible deal. It'll be great to see him, plus I'll actually have a couch he can crash on at that point.
Seems like his cat Minnie isn't quite ready to let it go. Too bad for her...
That's all for now!
